| engadget cake - march 13, 2006 |
| So many of you may be thinking, "What is an engadget cake?" Let me explain what this is all about. There is a great technology blog website called engadget.com. They are the first to report new technology announcements, post the latest fake ipod pictures, and report on Sony taking forever on the PS3 but not wanting to admit it. Sorry Sony. Anyway, they are celebrating their second birthday this week and are asking readers (like Candice and I) to show how we celebrate their birthday with a cake! The entry that has the best cake wins a new computer! With Alienware computers and Intel being sponsors, we thought, What better than an alienware shaped cake? So we made one! I guess I should point out that we actually made 4 cakes, and a ton of frosting. I should also note that I am using the word "we" pretty liberally in that my greatest contribution to the whole thing was some licorice "wires". We had so much fun that we decided to post some pictures for the whole world to see. Thanks engadget! UPDATE: We won 11th place overall - good for two free t-shirts. YEAH!!! |
